      Survey Slam

      Survey Slam is our survey-based trivia game where players are tasked with guessing the top answers to survey questions.

      Where do we get our survey questions you ask? Why, from our players and hosts of course! The first time a team turns in an answer on the player site they will receive a seemingly random question asking their opinion about something. That is a survey slam question. However, if you or your players just love telling other people your opinions then do we have a treat for you! You can always go to play.kingtrivia.com/survey and tell us your opinions on heaps of things. New questions are added every week.

      Survey Slam Format

      Survey Slam Overview: 

      Round 1- Strong Opinions

      We ask 5 questions. We are looking for the top answer to those 5 questions. 
      (1 point each, 5 points max)

      Sample Question: What’s a car color you wanted as a kid but would never want now?
              
      Answer: Red (33%)
      (Yellow (9%), Green (9%), Purple (9%), Pink (7%)).

      Round 2- Top 5
      We ask 2 questions and are looking for the top 5 answers to each.
      (1 point per answer, 10 points max)

      Sample Question: 

      1. Name a magazine that still appears at your doctor’s office.
        1. People (30%)
        2. Time (13%)
        3. Highlights (9%)
        4. National Geographic (8%)
        5. Men's Health (4%)


      Round 3- Hot Takes (themed round - Office, Movies, Baseball, 90s music, etc)
      We ask 5 questions and are looking for the top answer to each. These questions all have a theme.
      (1 point each, 5 max)

      Sample Question: 

      1. Have you read the 2003 novel The Da Vinci Code?      

               Answer: Yes (52%)

      (No (47%), Saw the movie (1%)).


      Round 4- This or That (50/50 questions, Would You Rather…, etc.)
      We ask 5 questions and are looking for the top answer each. Double or Nothing in effect
      (1 point for each answer, 10 max)

      Sample Question: 

      1. Partner fight: Don’t go to bed angry? Or deal with it tomorrow?

      Answer: Don't go to bed angry (57%)

      (Tomorrow (33%), Depends (4%)).


      Round 5- Rank and File
      We ask 1 question and are looking for the top five answers in the correct order.
      (2 points for each correct placement, 10 points max)

      Sample Question:

      1. Who is someone a celebrity always thanks when accepting an award?
        1. Parents (39%)
        2. God (27%)
        3. The Academy (7%)
        4. Significant other (6%)
        5. Agent (5%)


      Round 6- Wrong Answers Only
      Our traditional pub quiz always supplies us with some right answers and some wrong ones. We've taken 5 trivia questions and supplied the correct answer. We are looking for what is the most common "wrong answer."
      (2 points each, 10 max)

      Sample Question: 

      1. We asked What Central Asian “Sea” is the world’s largest inland body of water? The answer is the Caspian Sea, what was the #1 wrong answer?

      Answer: Red Sea


      Round 7- Poll Position
      We have 5 questions that give you a percentage. Tell us if the real percentage is higher or lower than the number provided.
      (2 points each, double or nothing means 12 points max)

      1. We asked “Who is the sexiest character on Seinfeld?” Was the answer higher or lower than 25%?           

      Answer: Higher (45%)


      Tiebreaker
      Guess the percentage of an answer to a prompt, the closest wins. They are awarded no additional points for a tie-breaker.
