What is involved with the host's tab?
As your sales rep went over all the costs of running a night, the host's tab is definitely a point that was made but is often missed.
To help keep the cost down, instead of paying the host more which turns around to cost a lot more if passed forward, it is an industry standard for the venue to provide a host a tab. $25 in food and drink at your cost is less than paying us even $25 more.
What is often missed in this is that the host gets to enjoy your products, to talk about it hopefully with players and their own friends. This is meant to be like a shift meal or drink and not to be transferred or used for others unless you permit it.
